Warming BEEF STEW

warming beef stew

The perfect winter immune booster. This stew can be eaten with rice, naan or as a soup. I usually keep bone broth in my freezer, ready to use. You can substitute the potatoes with sweet potatoes or butternut.

Ingredients:

  • ½ kg Beef Pieces
  • 3 large carrots
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 stalk celery chopped
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 tsp chopped Garlic
  • ½ tsp chopped ginger
  • 2 tablespoons oil/ghee/butter
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin/jeeru
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon gharam masala
  • 1 small tomato pureed.
  • A few sprigs rosemary
  • 1 liter bone broth
  • 1 potato
  • Fresh coriander

Method:

Suate the onion, add garlic, ginger, celery, and carrot. After a few minutes add the beef with all the spices. Let the beef cook. Add the rosemary and tomato, cook a bit more then add the bone broth and potato. Cook till the beef and potatoes are soft. Serve with naan, Greek yoghurt and zaatar.

Enjoy!
